Skin color, vitamin D and sexual selection

Peter Frost argues that the selection for skin color has more to do with sexual selection than with vitamin D.

  1. I think that this probably correct with regards to Europeans, but I wouldnt be so sure that it explains color variation for the human race as a whole, i.e. really dark people vs light and medium.
