The witch camps of Ghana

In many parts of Africa, traditional beliefs include the existence both of powers to heal and powers to do harm. In northern Ghana, some women, accused of hurting others through witchcraft, are exiled and come to live together in so-called witches camps.

  1. I clicked the "related" link and read that story as well.

Apparently, a "prophet" ties up four little kids aged 5 to 11, and whips and tortures them in order to try to get them to confess to being witches. And after three weeks of this, one of the kids dies, and the prophet lays the blame on God.

I wonder how many times he's done things like this before.
