Woman's silent plea for help leads to arrest of black child molester

DeLand Police arrested Jeffery Dwight Carr Jr. on charges of robbery, false imprisonment and kidnapping, after he allegedly robbed a woman, then forced her to go to a check-cashing business to get him more money. Carr was also wanted for violation of parole. He is a registered sex offender, involving lewd and lascivious acts on a child, police reported.
