The traditional African family

Historically, African families tended to be very female-oriented with males acting as little more than sperm donors.

it's so interesting that, to a large extent, they seem to have brought that tradition with them to the new world. it has really thrived, too, in the modern welfare state!

The reason why it seems to have only recently reemerged in modern blacks in the United may be due to the fact that past generations were trying to act white and suppress their natural instincts. One of the consequences of the civil rights movement has been the glorification of all things and behaviors African regardless of whether or not they are beneficial in the modern American environment.
