A black man accused of the brutal rape of a woman inside a Stone Mountain Church was a no show in court

John Russell Carver faces a 12 count indictment that includes rape, armed robbery, false imprisonment and burglary. Police say that he beat, assaulted and robbed a woman in February 2011 at the St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain. Detectives say that DNA links him to the attack.
