In New York City, African-Americans are 25.5% of the population, but are responsible for 55.5% of homicides, 45.5% of rapes, 63.5% of robberies and 52.8% of aggravated assaults. Hispanics are 28.6% of New York City's population, but are responsible for 33.8% of homicides, 43.1% of rapes, 29.1% of robberies and 33.8% of aggravated assaults.
