Auburn police have identified the black gunman in the shooting that killed three and wounded three others as Desmonte Leonard of Montgomery
Police say that the black man should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, and an active manhunt is under way. Meanwhile, Auburn football coach Gene Chizik and athletics director Jay Jacobs expressed their sorrow over the shooting that injured or killed six people. Former Auburn players Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips were killed by the black gunman, and current offensive lineman Eric Mack was wounded. Three people have died.
