Florida: A Hispanic police captain has been arrested after forcing a 15-year-old girl to get naked so that he could inspect her to make sure she hadn’t been having sex

The girl was so mortified when Captain Juan De los Rios, a Miramar police force veteran of 28 years, told her to strip off that she complied, allowing him to carry out a "sex check" on her. De los Rios insisted that he inspect the girl’s private parts using his flashlight to look for signs of bruising when he came across her and a 19-year-old male friend talking in the backseat of a car. He ignored the girl’s protestations that the pair were not having sex and told her that he needed to see inside to make sure she was telling the truth. After he had finished with his exam, the disgraced officer told the teens to go home. De los Rios is being held on $30,000, charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious conduct on a child under age 16 by someone over age 18. He has been suspended from the force and faces up to 15 years in prison as well as a $10,000 fine.
