Massachusetts: A black Hispanic state representative has been arrested for a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend

Carlos Henriquez, 35, has been charged with domestic assault and battery and domestic kidnapping after police say that he attacked the woman in a car. The couple were arguing near Northeastern University and the woman flagged down a police officer claiming that the elected official punched her. Henriquez represents the 5th District which includes Roxbury and Dorchester. He is serving his first term in office and is up for re-election in November 2012.
