A Mexican who was in the United States illegally has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for a fatal DUI crash in southwest Florida

A Sarasota County judge has sentenced 26-year-old Daniel Garcia after he pleaded no contest to DUI manslaughter. Authorities say that 51-year-old Pamila Yoder died at the scene of the crash in November 2010. Garcia was hospitalized after the collision but left the hospital - an IV still hanging from his arm - before authorities could charge him. Garcia was eventually found in Gainesville several months later.
