change is occurring across Europe, says The Blue Eyes Project, a research initiative, which claims that the mutation from the once-dominant brown to blue is Darwinism in action and linked to the fact that
a majority of people find blue eyes more attractive. In Ireland, blue eyes are most common in Connacht, where 53% people have them. The figures are only slightly lower elsewhere, with 52% in Leinster and 50% each in Ulster and Munster.
