A hate crime is among multiple felony counts faced by four Hispanic teens accused of attacking two black teens with bats and bricks in western Illinois
Seventeen-year-olds Alfredo Gutierrez and Alberto Rosas and 18-year-olds Alfredo Gutierrez and Alejandro Gonzalez Jr., all of Moline, have been charged with aggravated battery, hate crime and mob action. Bond was set at $50,000 each. Police received a report that several Hispanic males were chasing the 19-year-old black male and 17-year-old black female victims with bats. They were yelling racial slurs and eventually stole a cell phone, rosary and keys.

OT - Here is a story that has just come out here in Norway, but it is only getting coverage in a local newspaper in the city where it happened (Trondheim, pop. 173,000) while so far it has been ignored by the major newspapers in the country.
Several weeks ago, a 14-year-old girl was gang-raped by three immigrant guys during a festival evening in the city. Four weeks after the rape, she committed suicide in despair.
This is the fifth assault rape (attack on the street) in Trondheim since the beginning of April and three of them have involved multiple rapists. In four of the five cases, the rapists have been described as African or Middle Eastern:

"Took her life four weeks after the rape"

Four weeks after she reported a rape by Kristiansten fortress, the ninth grader could not bear to live anymore.
The girl's mother believes the gang-rape is the direct cause of her daughter choosing to take her life two weeks ago on Saturday morning for nearly two weeks ago.
"This shows how brutal the consequences of such a serious crime can be," said her mother through her her daughter's lawyer, Sigrun Dybvad.
Her mother has consented that The Adresseavisen [the newspaper] can tell about the tragic incident, and she has provided information in the case. The incident has shaken many in Trondheim. The Addressavisen newspaper has in recent days received emails and phone calls from desperate and upset parents. Over 1300 people have joined in a Facebook memorial group for 14-year-old. Tuesday this week 245 people came to say goodbye when she was buried in the Lutheran Free Church.
"Run from the site"
Hours before the 14-year-old encountered the perpetrators, she and her friends gathered at the Bispehaugen School. Just weeks before, over Easter, mother and daughter discussed a rape that was reported in The Adresseavisen. "I know what to do, I just scream and run," replied her daughter.
On the night of April 30th, she herself became a victim. At 11 p.m. in the evening the girl was looking for her friends, whom she would meet with at the Trondheim International School in Castle Street. While she searched the area, a young man of foreign origin came over to her. The girl explained to her mother that he wanted to hold her and kiss her. When 14-year-old said that she would meet a friend, the young man said that he knew this friend. The 14-year-old believed this, and they went past the school. Soon after, in an open green area right next to Castle Street, the assault began, the girl explained.
The ninth grader noticed that two other teenage boys came walking, and thought at first that they came to help. Instead, they helped to hold her down. The girl told that she tried to shout for help, but that there was so much noise that no one heard her.
While her peers celebrated in the area, and at the same time both the police and about 50 "night owls" [volunteer security patrols] patrolled the area, the 14-year-old testified that two of the perpetrators managed to rape her, before she got loose from the third. Then she ran from the scene, and away in the direction Nonnegata.
There she met a couple who immediately understood that something had happened and helped her home.
The girl has described the perpetrators as teenage boys in 16-17-age of foreign origin.
Would spare others
The next day, Sunday afternoon 1 May, attorney Sigrun Dybvad met a tired and worn girl at the police station in Trondheim. During the night she had been at the rape treatment center at St. Olav's Hospital.
"I saw her as a cooperative, with a strong desire to explain himself so that the perpetrators would be caught and could not do the same to others," said Dybvad.
For over three hours this afternoon, the girl sat in a police interrogation. Here she also looked at several photos of potential perpetrators, but could not recognize anyone. In police interviews, the school student explained that she hoped the incident was discussed in the paper so that the perpetrators could not do it again.

Did not sleep
Several people said that the attack at the fort was hard on the girl. A bright spot for the school girl after the assault was that she was confirmed on Saturday 14 May - two weeks after the incident.
"She was very excited about it, and looked forward to spending time with her immediate family," says aid lawyer.
Soon after confirmation the reaction [to the assaults] began to become overwhelming. The 14-year-old had major sleeping problems, and was much away from school. Until then she had been open about what had happened to fellow pupils and teachers. She wanted them to know, so they were not subjected to the same experience. The family believes the teachers at Rosenborg school handled it all very well.
The 14-year-old was being treated by a psychologist at St. Olav's Hospital. She also had much support from her many friends.
By the 28th of May it became too much for her.
"This is deeply tragic, and it shows how serious these crimes are. Rape can destroy people," said the aid lawyer.

I am sorry, but if rape is part of their culture then you must respect that. It is racist to do otherwise.
