A black man and a Hispanic woman have been arrested for sexually assaulting and trying to kill a woman

The 46-year-old victim met up with a friend and went with him to visit his friends at a home. The friend left the home, leaving the victim alone with the three suspects who then accused her of owing them money. When the victim told them that she didn’t have any money, they beat her about the face, sexually assaulted her and stole her purse and cellphone. The suspects then placed a plastic bag over the victim’s head, bound her hands and feet and dumped her body in a wooded area. The victim was able to free herself and scream for help. Kenneth Bass, 52, and Julia Lopez, 37 have been arrested and charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, rape, criminal sex act, assault, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
