A Hindu monkey god has been named chairman of a new business school in northern India

The Associated Press says Lord Hanuman has "an incense-filled office, a desk and a laptop computer" at Sardar Bhagat Singh College of Technology and Management in Lucknow. Vivek Kangri, a vice chairman, tells Press Trust of India that Hanuman delegated his powers to two high-level school officials. "All correspondence and paper work in the name of Lord Hanuman is being done by the two and during the meetings the chairman's chair is left empty with both occupying the adjacent seats as a mark of respect," the news agency says.
