A member of the General Synod of the Church of England has said that the British Government needs to be more strict in preventing the growth of Islam

Alison Ruoff said the Labor Government is soft-pedalling on Muslims who don't want to integrate with other communities in Britain. She said the Archbishop of Canterbury had pointed to the inevitability that elements of Sharia would be introduced in Britain. She said the leaders of the church hadn't done enough to put the church message across. "Our Government is allowing it to happen out of political correctness, but it should be protecting our values and heritage," she added.
