Slavery continues to exist in African nations in the 21st century

Slavery in modern Africa is practiced most notably in Sudan, Ghana, Mauritania, Benin, Gabon, Mali, and the Ivory Coast, where tens and perhaps hundreds of thousands of people are enslaved.
