A 24-year-old woman axed her mother-in-law to death suspecting her of practising witchcraft in India

Yamunabai Mhase attacked her mother-in-law Radhabai (50) with an axe in Chuli village, police said. The police have arrested Yamunabai on charges of murder and are further investigating the case. In another case, a mentally-challenged person killed his mother and sister-in-law in a fit of rage in Golashi village in Nashik taluk, police said. Tulashirman Paradhe (40) had a quarrel with his mother Kashabai and sister-in-law Sulabai (50) following which he attacked both using a gardening tool, they said. Both died on their way to Nashik civil hospital, police said adding Tulshiram had been arrested.
