Black man plucks out his uncle's eyes with a spoon - police find the victim's eyes in the garbage can and a bloody spoon on the table

Prichard police have arrested a black man on assault charges after they say he confessed to plucking out his uncle's eyeballs with a spoon. Police got a 911 call from relatives of 79 year old Bonnie Pogue. When officers got to the house, Timayo Knight told them what he had done. Police found a bloody spoon on the kitchen table and Pogue's eye balls in the garbage can. Knight was arrested and charged with assault. Pogue survived the attack. Prichard Police Chief Jimmy Gardener says that Pogue is in the ICU at Mobile Infirmary, listed in serious condition. According to jail records, Knight has never been arrested for any violent crimes. He was previously arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and failure to obey a policeman.
