A Hispanic fugitive from the DPS top ten sex offenders in Texas list has been arrested trying to cross into Mexico

Troopers say that 51 year old Jose Manuel Vasquez was arrested by DPS and the U.S. Marshal's office at the Stanton Street Port of Entry in El Paso. Two people submitted a tip that Vasquez was in Porvenir, Mexico when Mexican authorities arrested him and handed him over to U.S. authorities. Each of the tipsters will get $1,500 for their help capturing Vasquez. Vasquez has 18 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in Potter and Randall counties. His victims were between 7 and 9 years old. He is also charged for failing to register as a sex offender and for violating probation after an indecency with a child conviction. Vasquez will ultimately be transported back to Amarillo.
