An illegal immigrant from Ecuador charged with dragging a motorcyclist to his death in Milford after striking him with his pickup truck has been ordered held without bail

Nicolas Dutan Guaman, 34, also known as Nicholas Dutan, was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter by motor vehicle, motor vehicle homicide while driving negligently and under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident causing death, failure to stop for a police officer, driving without a license and reckless endangerment of a child in Worcester Superior Court. Guaman was arrested after he drove his truck into a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Matthew J. Denice at Congress and Fayette streets in Milford. Guaman kept driving after the accident even with witnesses banging on his truck door. Denice was trapped under the truck. Authorities said that Guaman, an Ecuadorian, was here illegally along with one of the passengers in his truck, Luis Acosta, 20. Guaman’s 6-year-old son was also in the truck. Acosta left town before testifying before a grand jury. Officials said that Acosta cut off his monitoring bracelet and took off before he was to testify. They believe that he fled to Ecuador.
