The search for the Hispanic suspected of firing shots in Northwest Washington has intensified after bullets were found on White House grounds, the Secret Service said

A bullet hit an exterior window of the White House and was stopped by ballistic glass. An additional round of ammunition was found outside the White House. The discovery came days after 21-year-old Oscar Ramiro Ortega fired gunshots near the White House. U.S. Park Police say that they believe Ortega fired shots from an AK-47 semiautomatic rifle while in a vehicle on 16th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. He abandoned the car and the weapon in the 2300 block of Constitution Avenue and fled on foot. U.S. Park Police have obtained an arrest warrant charging Ortega with carrying a dangerous weapon, a felony. The Secret Service, Park Police, FBI, and D.C. police are continuing the search for Ortega, who authorities believe is still in the Washington area.
