A man and his 8-year-old son have been shot and their car set on fire in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez

The boy's body was found burned inside the car, while his father was able to get out before dying from his injuries. At least 32 shell casings were found at the scene. State prosecutors said two women were also found dead inside a car at a mall parking lot. The parking lot is at the same center where a police officer was fatally shot while standing guard at a local government booth. The city has seen a spike in violence, including at least 14 people killed in 48 hours earlier in February 2011.
