Lebanese female boxer Rola El-Halabi has been shot by her step father in Germany

The suspected gunman was later identified as Roy El-Halabi, step father of the female boxer. Berlin police said El-Halabi's attacker shot his stepdaughter and two security guards, before he was arrested. The undefeated 25-year-old Lebanese boxer was preparing to fight Irma Balijagic Adler of Bosnia for the vacant IBF lightweight title when her 44-year-old stepfather entered her dressing room and shot her in the hand, knee and feet. El-Halabi split from her stepfather as her manager in January 2011. Rola El-Halabi was born in Beirut, Lebanon on April 8, 1985. She came to Germany with her family when she was eight months old.
