A jury has found a black man guilty of killing a woman, her two sons and one of his accomplices

Desmond Laster has been convicted on four counts of homicide. Each of the homicide charges carries a life sentence. Prosecutors said Laster killed Rachel Thompson and her two sons. He then set their apartment on fire in February of 2010, police said. Investigators said Anthony Barnes and Brittney Robertson were accomplices. They said Laster and Barnes later killed Robertson. Earlier, Barnes reached a deal that he would testify against Laster in exchange for up to 30 years in prison instead of a life sentence.
