Black rapper Petey Pablo has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge, stemming from a September 2010 arrest at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina
Petey (real name: Moses Barrett III) was arrested on September 11th, 2010 when airport security found a Smith & Wesson 639 handgun in his carry-on luggage. He was attempting to board a flight to Los Angeles to attend the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Petey was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and attempting to take a gun onto an aircraft. The rapper pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm charge as part of a plea agreement that would see the remaining two charges dropped. Petey is scheduled to be sentenced in June 2011 and could get up to 10 years in prison.
