A federal official says that Barack Obama's uncle, an illegal immigrant charged with drunken driving in Massachusetts, was ordered by an immigration judge to leave the United States almost two decades ago
The official says that a deportation order was issued against Onyango Obama in 1992. The 67-year-old Onyango Obama is the half-brother of Barack Obama's late father. He is originally from Kenya. Onyango Obama has pleaded not guilty to operating under the influence of alcohol and is now jailed on an immigration detainer. Obama Onyango has had a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and Social Security number since at least 1992 and is the brother of Zeituni Onyango, an illegal immigrant living in public housing in South Boston
Hispanic family arrested for shoplifting
Christian Gonzalez, 31, and his wife, Norma Gonzalez, 32, along with their 13- and 14-year-old daughters were arrested after they attempted to steal about $550 worth of shoes and cologne from a Sears store in Burbank, police said.
A theme park was forced to shut its gates to visitors when a mass brawl broke out after Muslim women were banned from rides unless they removed their headscarves
Two park rangers were injured and 15 people, including three women, were arrested in the scuffle at Rye Playland in New York. They have since been charged with disorderly conduct and assault. The incident started when the theme park was crowded with around 6,000 visitors. Roughly 3,000 were in a Muslim tour group celebrating a holiday at the end of Ramadan. Trouble flared when women wearing Muslim hijab scarves tried to get on rides banning any head coverings. The women were refused entry and offered refunds - but then male and female visitors started to argue among themselves, Westchester County officials said. That apparently led to park guards stepping in, sparking the huge brawl. The park entrance was closed for two hours as the fighting escalated. Two intervening park rangers were injured and hospitalized. A huge police response then saw 60 patrol cars and 100 police arrive from nine departments. The Muslim American Society of New York had been painstakingly advised of the rule banning head coverings on certain rides many times before its tour took place, parks official Peter Tartaglia said. He defended the policy against head coverings on rides for safety reasons and faulted the group for not ensuring visitors understood the policy. Tartaglia said that the policy is for safety, as scarves can become entangled in mechanical parts, choke riders or fly off and land in a ride's tracks.
Muslim-Americans are playing prominent roles in Al Qaeda and are threatening more attacks
Homegrown Islamic terrorists are playing increasingly prominent roles within Al Qaeda and are threatening more deadly attacks from within the United States, the much anticipated 9/11 report card has revealed. Airport security is still not thorough enough to stop a large-scale air bombing, the report claimed and, even more worryingly, the greatest threat to national security may well be coming from America itself, with the frighteningly common radicalization of Muslim-American teens. Muslim-American youth are being recruited in Somali communities in Minneapolis and Portland, Oregon, in some respects moving the front lines to the interior of the United States. In recent years, there has been a jump in the number of attacks against the United States by homegrown Muslim-Americans. In 2009, there were two of these high-profile terrorist attacks in the United States. In the first attack, 13 people were killed and 29 injured in the Fort Hood shooting, the sole suspect for which is Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. born Palestinian who faces the death penalty for the charges. In the same year, a U.S. military recruiter was killed in Little Rock, Arkansas and another man injured. Black Muslim convert Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad was said by police to have confessed to the killing of Private William Long, saying that he had been sent to kill as many soldiers as possible by Al Qaeda. The report card added that despite the government spending billions of dollars on airport security, scanners still cannot reliably detect bombs which could bring down planes. Among concerns raised were ones about full body scanners, which, aside from raising privacy concerns, cannot see explosives hidden within the body.
A father slit the throat of his three teenage daughters in an honor killing after they were raped by Gaddafi loyalists during the siege of the port city of Misrata
Allegations of the shocking executions are contained in a report by the respected Physicians for Human Rights group into war crimes and atrocities in the embattled city, which faced two months of being cut off from the rest of Libya. The father is said to have carried out the honor killings because of his humiliation and shame at the rape of the sisters – aged 15, 17 and 18 – in Tomina, on the outskirts of Misrata.
Fathers who actively engage in raising their children can help make their offspring smarter and better behaved, according to new research from Concordia University
The long-term study examined how fathers can positively influence the development of their kids through hands-on parenting. Fathers make important contributions in the development of their children's behavior and intelligence. Compared with other children with absentee dads, kids whose fathers were active parents in early and middle childhood had fewer behavior problems and higher intellectual abilities as they grew older - even among socio-economically at-risk families. Regardless of whether fathers lived with their children, their ability to set appropriate limits and structure their children's behavior positively influenced problem-solving and decreased emotional problems, such as sadness, social withdrawal and anxiety. The study found that girls were most affected by absentee dads, although the researchers caution that paternal absence can foster other problems such as lack of support or discipline. Girls whose fathers were absent during their middle childhood had significantly higher levels of emotional problems at school than girls whose fathers were present.
An international team of researchers has found a genetic variation that protects against Parkinson's disease
The gene variants cut the risk of developing the disease by nearly 20% in many populations. The study also reports the discovery of different variants of the same gene, LRRK2 - the most important Parkinson's risk gene found to date - that double Parkinson's risk in whites and Asians.
Minority students in a high-poverty neighborhood are more likely to pass through a metal detector on the way to class than their better-off and white peers are
Researchers have found that high-poverty schools were much more likely to use security mechanisms such as surveillance cameras, full-time guards and drug-sniffing dogs, and that the racial makeup of the student enrollment was a powerful predictor of whether the school would use metal detectors. Schools with more students of color are more likely to get metal detectors, at every level, even elementary levels. Schools with higher concentrations of poor students were more likely than their better-off counterparts to have a full-time security or policy officer, drug-sniffing dogs, locked gates in elementary schools, and metal detectors in middle school. The percentage of minority students in a school strongly predicted whether it would use metal detectors at all grade levels. However, all schools with highly involved parents were less likely to use metal detectors and more likely to favor a security officer on campus. The intensity of the security is very much dependent upon what experiences the school has had. You’re not going to find metal detectors in a school that has not experienced any violence or any times of students’ trying to bring weapons into the school.
An international team of researchers has identified six new genetic variants associated with type-2 diabetes in South Asians
People of South Asian ancestry are up to four times more likely than Europeans to develop type 2 diabetes, which is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Around 55 million South Asian people are affected worldwide, and the number is projected to rise to 80 million by 2030. This new study is the first to focus on genes underlying diabetes amongst people originating from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh). The researchers from around the world examined the DNA of 18,731 people with type 2 diabetes and 39,856 healthy controls. The genomes of the participants were analyzed to look for locations where variations were more common in those with diabetes. The results identified six positions where differences of a single letter in the genetic code were associated with type 2 diabetes, suggesting that nearby genes have a role in the disease. Type 2 diabetes is more common in South Asian populations than any other ethnic group. This is the first genome-wide association study in South Asians, who comprise one-quarter of the globe's population, and who carry a high burden of the disease and its complications, including heart attack and stroke.
A key difference in the way that cells from African-Americans respond to inflammation could be an answer to why this group is disproportionately affected by hypertension, something that has eluded scientists for many years
In a study, researchers tested the effects of TNF-ά, a protein that causes inflammation when cells are damaged, on endothelial cells – which line blood vessels – in both African-Americans and whites, to determine whether the inflammation affected the cells differently. Among African-American cells, there was a nearly 90% increase in the production of endothelial microparticles, small vesicles that are released during inflammation. Individuals with hypertension have been shown to have higher levels of these microparticles in their bloodstream. Among whites, there was only an 8% increase in their production. It appears that the endothelial cells in African Americans are more susceptible to the damaging effects of this inflammation.

Jews block Arab school in East Jerusalem
Arab residents of the East Jerusalem community of Beit Hanina have been trying for years to receive permission to build a high school on village land, next to the increasingly ultra-Orthodox Neveh Yaakov neighborhood. But time after time their efforts have been thwarted by their Jewish neighbors. Recently, the city engineer promised the Beit Hanina residents that he would fight to include the high school in the budget for the coming year. But, Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Kobi Kahlon, also the chairman of the Jerusalem Planning and Building Committee, told the objectors that the matter had been removed from the council's agenda. The opponents from Neveh Yaakov are not trying to hide their opinions on the matter, charging that a Beit Hanina high school at the junction next to the Jewish neighborhood would lead to harassment of Jewish girls by Arab students. Their biggest concern, however, is that Arab students would throw stones and Molotov cocktails at Jewish residents. Over the years, the Beit Hanina residents agreed to a compromise under which the school would be an all-girls facility. Gabi Ganish, chairman of the Neveh Yaakov community administration, however, wasn't swayed by the idea, commenting: "And girls can't throw stones too?" In an effort to further soften the compromise, the Beit Hanina residents agreed to put up only a special-needs facility. This, too, was not enough to dispel the objections of the Neveh Yaakov residents.
Why hasn't crime risen during the recession?
One reason is that more black criminals are in prison and so are not available to commit crimes.
A black former federal security officer has admitted that she helped members of a local drug gang smuggle cash through the Buffalo Niagara International Airport
Minnetta Walker, who was arrested in March 2011 after an 11-month investigation, admitted that she helped a member of the drug ring use a fake name for traveling and helped him bypass security scanners at the airport. The 43-year-old Buffalo woman also admitted that she once warned two of the man's drug associates that federal agents were tailing them in the airport. Walker was arrested after an investigation by Buffalo agents of the FBI, NFTA Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Before the TSA fired her after her arrest, Walker told a judge that she made about $40,000 annually as a behavioral detection officer at the airport. Her job was to walk around the airport, looking for suspicious individuals who might be planning some criminal activity. Instead, she admitted that she spent at least some of her working hours accompanying drug suspects as they walked through security checkpoints without undergoing close examination of themselves or their carry-on luggage. Under advisory sentencing guidelines, Walker faces a federal prison term in the probable range of 18 to 24 months. She pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the federal government.
African-American Tampa Bay cornerback Aqib Talib won't be suspended for any of the 2011 season for his arrest in connection with an off-season shooting in Texas
The black fourth-year pro is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police in the Dallas suburb of Garland say that the 25-year-old player and his mother shot at a man in March 2011.
Success and facial shapes
Believe it or not, one thing that predicts how well a CEO’s company performs is – the width of his face! CEOs with wider faces, like Herb Kelleher, the former CEO of Southwest Airlines, have better-performing companies than CEOs like Dick Fuld, the long-faced final CEO of Lehman Brothers. That’s the conclusion of a new study. Several studies have shown that the ratio of face width to face height is correlated with aggression. Hockey players with wider faces spend more time in the penalty box for fighting. Men with higher facial width are seen as less trustworthy and they feel more powerful. People who feel powerful tend to look at the big picture rather than focusing on small details and are also better at staying on task. The researchers based their analyses on photos of 55 male CEOs of publicly-traded Fortune 500 organizations. They only used men because this relationship between face shape and behavior has only been found to apply to men; it’s thought to have something to do with testosterone levels. They also gathered information on the companies’ financial performance and analyzed shareholder letters to get a sense of the kind of thinking that goes on at those companies. CEOs with a wider face, relative to the face’s height, had much better firm financial performance than CEOs who had narrower faces. The researchers also found that the way the top management team thinks, as reflected in their writings, can get in the way of this effect. Teams that take a simplistic view of the world, in which everything is black and white, are thought to be more deferential to authority; in these companies, the CEO’s face shape is more important. It’s less important in companies where the top managers see the world more in shades of gray.

A Mexican national wanted by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office for his connection to the 2009 rape of an elderly woman has been arrested by deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service
According to the sheriff's office, Miguel Oros, 33, of Tabasco, Mexico, was recently apprehended in Cancun, for outstanding warrants from the U.S. Marshals Office. In August 2009, parish officers received a complaint that an 87-year-old woman had been raped. A sheriff's office release said that detectives investigating the complaint were able to obtain evidence relating to the crime, including DNA left behind by the suspect. After DNA analysis, detectives learned that the suspect was Oros. Detectives learned that Oros was a resident of Mexico and then requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Office Violent Offender Task Force. According to the release, it is with the assistance of the task force that Oros was taken into custody. Oros is currently in Mississippi, where he faces additional charges. He will then be extradited to Iberia Parish, where he will face charges relating to aggravated rape.
Police have charged an illegal Mexican immigrant with statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl
Diego H. Hernandez-Luna, who told police that he was 22, was booked into the Rutherford County jail on the charge following an investigation that involved Murfreesboro Police Detective Tommy Roberts and a Tennessee Department of Children’s Services investigator, according to a Murfreesboro Police report. Roberts wrote in an arrest report that he received a referral from the DCS investigator, Kevin Smith, about an underage girl who was having sex with Hernandez-Luna. Smith had interviewed the girl who told him that she and Hernandez-Luna would go to a hotel on South Church Street and have sexual intercourse adding that this happened 10 to 20 times. Hernandez-Luna was asked to visit the police department to be questioned about the incidents and obliged. Hernandez-Luna was arrested following the interview and transported to the jail. His bond was set at $5,000.
The Asian owner of a frozen yoghurt shop has been accused of attacking an employee, removing her clothes, binding her with tape and locking her in a box
Robert Yachen Lee is being held on $10 million bail charged with kidnapping to commit rape and first degree murder. Prosecutors say that Lee lured a female employee into a soundproof upstairs storage room above his O My Yogurt store in Monterey Park, Los Angeles County and knocked her out. While she was blacked out he then removed her clothing, bound her with tape and put a collar around her neck. When she woke the terrified woman was naked, except for an adult diaper. She was bound with tape, and lying face down in a box. Authorities said that the woman was put into what appeared to be a soundproofed box and placed into a recently padded and soundproofed room that was part of the storage suite. The woman managed to escape fleeing to a nearby optometrist's office where she asked them to call the police. Lee was arrested the same day.
An Asian actor who appeared in the first Austin Powers film is facing a life sentence after being convicted of taking part in a brutal rape
Joseph Son, 40, has been found guilty of raping and torturing a 20-year-old woman after she was abducted near her home in Huntington Beach, California. Son, a mixed martial arts fighter, played the role of Dr Evil's henchman Random Task in the 1997 film "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery." He was arrested in 2008 after DNA linked him to a rape attack carried out on Christmas Eve in 1990. Son and an accomplice tortured and repeatedly raped their young victim before releasing her with her underwear tied around her eyes. The incident took place in 1990 before Son made his film debut in the spy spoof film. He was charged with the rape 18 years later after being linked by DNA taken at the crime scene. Son had been arrested on an unrelated vandalism charge and gave a DNA sample. Prosecutor Eric Scarborough said that Son was a sadist who took pleasure in terrifying his victim. Son was initially charged with multiple sexual assault charges and faced a maximum sentence of 275 years to life in prison. But many of the charges were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired. His co-defendant in the case Santiago Gaitan, 40, pleaded guilty to rape, kidnapping and other charges, and was sentenced to 17 years and four months in prison. Son has been told he faced from 15 years to life when he is sentenced.

Why are Arab Muslim terrorists so attracted to black women?
Both Osama Bin Laden and Muammar Qaddafi were attracted to black women. Is it because black women are seen as being more sexual than women of other races?
Your Black Muslim Bakery leader has been sentenced to life in prison
More than four years after journalist Chauncey Bailey was gunned down in broad daylight on a downtown Oakland street, the man who ordered him and two others killed has been sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. Yusuf Bey IV, 25, denied that he had ordered the killings. Bey's sentencing was a final act of sorts for Your Black Muslim Bakery, the black group that his father formed in Oakland in the 1960s. At its height, the group aspired to promote healthful dietary habits in the African American community and recruit local blacks, mostly men, for positions of responsibility. By the time he died of cancer in 2003, however, bakery founder Yusuf Bey Sr. was fighting off charges that he had preyed sexually on young girls. A pattern of thuggery marked the subsequent power struggle won by Bey IV, who a jury concluded had ordered Bailey's killing to silence his reporting on the bakery's unraveling. Bey was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder for ordering the slayings of Bailey, Odell Roberson and Michael Wills. A co-defendant, former bakery member Antoine Mackey, 25, was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder for the killings of Bailey and Wills and was also sentenced to life in prison without parole. Both men were convicted of the special circumstance of multiple murder. Prosecutors said that Bey had targeted Bailey because the journalist was close to publishing his unflattering stories about the bakery. Bailey was killed by three shotgun blasts as he walked to work in downtown Oakland on Aug. 2, 2007. The other killings were less political in nature. Roberson, 31, was the uncle of a man who had killed Bey's brother in a botched 2005 carjacking in North Oakland, and Wills, 36, was slain simply because he was white, the prosecution said. Both were shot to death in July 2007. Previously, former bakery handyman Devaughndre Broussard had been sentenced to 25 years behind bars for killing Bailey and Roberson. Broussard testified against Bey and Mackey as part of a plea bargain with prosecutors. The organization disbanded shortly after the arrests of Bey and other members in the days after Bailey's killing. Bey still faces kidnapping charges for abducting a woman and a daughter in hopes of finding where a drug dealer kept his cash.
A 37-year-old Hispanic illegal alien is facing a variety of charges including sexual battery on a child following his arrest by deputies with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office
Yoni Merida-Errera is facing three counts of sexual battery, one count of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct. According to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office report, Merida-Errara was also charged with aggravated assault. He is currently being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail. Because he is in the United States illegally officials with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency want to talk to him as well. Detectives investigating the sexual battery case against the suspect say that the victims are two young girls. The crimes occurred after Merida-Errera befriended an adult relative of the victims.
Four black men are charged with sexually assaulting and robbing a 26-year-old woman inside a Comfort Inn hotel room
The attacks at the 298 Queen City Ave. hotel spanned more than five hours - during which two of the men forcibly raped the woman while all four sexually assaulted her, then threatened her and stole her money to keep her from leaving, police say. She eventually escaped and called police after the men fell asleep, police said. "This was a particularly violent, pre-meditated act. One of them invited her there with the intent of sexually assaulting her," Capt. Nick Willard said. "It was a brutal and terrifying crime." The woman was taken to Catholic Medical Center where she was being treated. The victim was invited to the hotel by Leroy Kear, 24, of Manchester, with whom she is acquainted. The woman said that she expected to attend a party with a small group of people, including women, police said. She arrived to find only Kear and three other men present: Abdul Kabia, 29, of Nashua; Abdulai Barrie, 31, of Alexandria, Va.; and Dorbor Nyonee, 23, of Manchester. The men began groping her, police said. The woman ran inside the bathroom and locked the door behiind her. But Nyonee and Barrie broke through the door and forcibly raped her and sexually assaulted her inside the bathroom, police said. Nyonee and Barrie are charged with felonious sexual assault and aggravated felonious sexual assault. Nyonee also is charged with violation of bail conditions, violation of federal probation and is being held on a federal probation warrant. Kear is charged with felonious sexual assault, theft and violation of bail conditions. Kabia is charged with felonious sexual assault.
Race and sport: Every winner of the 100 meter final at the World Athletics Championships since the inaugural event in 1983 has been black
The BBC tries to argue that race has nothing to do with black successes in sports because only a minority of blacks are really good athletes. All they really end up proving is that ethnicity is an even more important factor than race in determining success in a particular area. For example, the best sprinters in the world come from a part of Kenya's Rift Valley called Nandi. It is likely that the people of Nandi have a genetic profile that is not the same as other Kenyans.

Libyans are taking revenge on black Africans
Gaddafi employed gunmen from sub-Saharan Africa to shore up his army against his own people, and those fighters have elicited intense enmity from Libyans. At least 15 bodies, most of them Gaddafi’s black African supporters, lay rotting in the sun at a traffic junction outside his Bab al-Aziziyah complex. Several of the dead wore green pieces of cloth wrapped around their wrists to signal loyalty to the Gaddafi regime. The worst treatment of Gaddafi loyalists appeared to be reserved for anyone with black skin, whether they hailed from southern Libya or from other African countries. Darker-skinned prisoners were not getting the same level of medical care in a hospital in rebel-held Zawiyah as lighter-skinned Arab Libyans.
African Americans are four times more likely to develop kidney failure than whites
A new study has found that a condition that occurs when the kidneys are damaged and spill protein into the urine contributes to this increased risk. The investigators analyzed information from 27,911 individuals (40.5% of whom were African Americans). After an average follow-up of 3.6 years, 133 individuals developed kidney failure. There were 96 cases of kidney failure among African Americans and 37 among whites. Kidney failure was most common in individuals who excreted large amounts of protein in their urine. African Americans were more likely to excrete large amounts of protein in their urine than whites. The investigators speculate that several factors may explain why African Americans tend to excrete more protein in their urine. These could include blood pressure and other heart-related factors, obesity, smoking, vitamin D levels, genetic differences, income, and birth weight. These factors may act at different times during an individual's life to affect kidney health. This large nationwide study brings attention to higher levels of urinary protein excretion as important contributors to the increased incidence of kidney failure experienced by blacks.
Black basketball player faces murder charge
When he saw the person he believed robbed him, a former NBA player and Georgia Tech standout fired gunshots from a black SUV, striking a 23-year-old mother of four, Atlanta police said. Now, Javaris Crittenton, 23, faces a murder charge in the death of Jullian Jones, authorities have said. Jones was walking with others near her Macon Drive home in southwest Atlanta when she was shot, police said. Several witnesses told police that the shots were fired from a black Chevrolet Tahoe. Jones was struck in the leg and later died during surgery. Two men walking with Jones fled and were not injured, and investigators now believe that one of those men was the intended target. Investigators believe that Crittenton may have been seeking retaliation after being robbed of his jewelry. Crittenton reported that crime to police. Crittenton is not in custody and is believed to be in the greater Los Angeles area. Atlanta detectives are working with the FBI to take him into custody. While playing for the Washington Wizards, Crittenton was involved in a December 2009 locker room incident with then-teammate Gilbert Arenas in which the two pulled guns on each other. On Jan. 25, 2010, Crittenton pleaded guilty and was given a year of probation on a misdemeanor gun possession charge.
An Algerian asylum seeker who committed more than 25 crimes after arriving in Britain could be awarded damages after claiming that he was unlawfully detained by immigration authorities
Algerian Amin Sino sought a High Court review of the Home Office decision to detain him in 2006. He argued that he had been unlawfully detained and was entitled to damages. Deputy High Court Judge John Howell QC said that Sino had frustrated Home Office deportation attempts and was deemed a risk to the community. Although he agreed that people would be outraged by the ruling, with the payment coming from the taxpayer, he said failure to co-operate with immigration officials was not a justification for detention. Sino claimed asylum in 2001 but was refused and a subsequent appeal was dismissed after he failed to appear for hearings, the judge said. Over the next few years he was convicted of shoplifting, theft, handling stolen goods and drug possession, London’s High Court heard. He was detained by immigration authorities at the end of a prison sentence in 2006, pending deportation. But Home Office officials were unable to obtain travel documents from Algerian authorities that would have allowed him to be sent back.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's deputies are looking for a black man who they say sexually battered a 4-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy
Authorities say that the children, who are cousins, were at another relative's house for a weekend visit when they were assaulted. Authorities are searching for Leonard Chopin, 24, who once resided on Jasper Lane in LaPlace, and is believed to be in the Kenner area. According to Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Dane Clement, Chopin raped the two children, during their visit. When the father of the girl picked her up from the visit, she complained of pain, Clement said. The children were taken to the hospital where medical exams confirmed an assault had taken place, he said.

A hit from a nationwide DNA database led to the arrest of a Hispanic suspect in a recent Newport News sexual assault
Jorge Perez-Paez, 23, was arrested at Salsa's Mexican Grill on Mariners Row. He is charged with rape, forcible sodomy, abduction, malicious wounding, robbery and attempted first-degree murder. The charges stem from an incident during the pre-dawn hours of July 2, 2011 when a 25-year-old Newport News woman was attacked and sexually assaulted as she was walking home from Port Warwick. The woman told police that her assailant had approached her on a bicycle, punched her in the face, and then forced her into a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her. DNA evidence was sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science, and a profile was submitted to the National DNA Databank. The database identified the DNA as a match for Perez-Paez, who had been investigated in a similar assault in Fresno, Calif., and who had relocated to Newport News. According to the police report, the DNA match between the California case and the Newport News case would be expected to occur in approximately 1 in 860 quadrillion Hispanics. The victim sustained a broken nose and eye socket in the assault. The attacker told her that she was going to die in the woods. He choked her until she was unconscious and left her buried beneath a pile of leaves in a ditch. When she regained consciousness she was able to walk for help.

A black man has been sentenced to 120 years in prison after being convicted of breaking into a 74-year-old woman’s home and sexually assaulting her
Rodney L. McGowan, 43, has been convicted of one charge of home invasion and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, all Class X felonies, and one count of aggravated battery to a senior citizen, a class 2 felony, according to a statement from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. In addition, the jury found that those crimes were accompanied by exceptionally brutal or heinous behavior amounting to wanton cruelty. Shortly after midnight April 24, 2010, McGowan climbed through the victim’s apartment bedroom window, the statement said. McGowan then punched and beat the victim before sexually assaulting the woman and escaping through the apartment door. Police found McGowan by watching and comparing surveillance video in the area in which McGowan was seen leaving the apartment after the assault and later entering a nearby apartment building where his girlfriend lived, the statement said. DNA evidence taken from a condom found in the apartment matched McGowan’s DNA, and fingerprint taken from the victim’s apartment and from the condom wrapper were left by McGowan. The victim, who testified in the trial, suffered fractures to her cheek and orbital bones and bruises to her chest. She is still recovering from the assault and has since moved out of the Chicago Area, according to the statement. During the sentencing hearing, prosecutors presented evidence of McGowan’s criminal past including a prison stint in Arkansas for burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, the statement said. The judge also read a letter written by the victim in which she said that she is scared of everything, has trouble walking, has constant pain in her face and has trouble eating and drinking. The sentence breaks down to 60 years for home invasion and 60 years for aggravated criminal sexual assault. McGowan had been held in Kane County jail on $900,000 bail, but bond was revoked upon conviction, according to the statement. According to Illinois law McGowan must serve at least 85% of the sentence and receives credit for time served in jail.

An abducted Mexican journalist has been found shot dead north of Culiacan, in northwestern Sinaloa state
Humberto Millan Salazar, who edited an online newspaper and presented a news program on local radio, had been kidnapped by armed men. The journalists' welfare group Committee to Protect Journalists says that 58 journalists have been killed in Mexico since 1992. It says that 25 of those were murdered in direct reprisal for their work. Millan Salazar, 53, was stopped by masked armed men as he was leaving his house in a residential area of Culiacan. He was on his way to the Culiacan studios of Radio Formula, where he presented the morning news program. He was also the editor of online newspaper A Discusion. According to the United Nations, Mexico is the most dangerous country for journalists to work in. Special Prosecutor for Crimes Against Freedom of Speech Gustavo Salas said that 13 journalists had disappeared across the country since 2000. The state of Sinaloa, where Millan Salazar was killed, is the power base of the Sinaloa drug cartel, considered to be the most powerful criminal organization in the country. The killing of Millan Salazar comes less than a month after crime reporter Yolanda Ordaz de la Cruz was found dead. Ordaz, who worked for the Notiver newspaper, had her throat cut after being abducted in Veracruz state.
At least 20 people have been killed and eight injured in an attack on a casino in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey
Armed men broke into the building and set it alight, but it is not clear whether the fire was caused by grenades, or an arson attack. Firefighters had to free dozens of people trapped by smoke and flames. Monterrey has seen a surge in violence by rival drugs gangs. The city is being disputed by two rival drug cartels - Los Zetas and the Gulf cartel.
Islamic police in the Indonesian province of Aceh have forced two women to have their marriage annulled and sign an agreement to separate
The women had been legally married for a few months after one of them passed as a man in front of an Islamic cleric who presided over their wedding. But suspicious neighbors confronted the couple and reported them to police. The two women are now back with their families, forcibly separated and under surveillance by the Islamic police. The local Sharia police chief told them that Islam said they must be beheaded and burned for what they had done. The provincial parliament passed Islamic laws authorizing the stoning to death of adulterers and the caning of homosexuals in 2009.
Rabbi who claimed that he was the Jewish Indiana Jones for saving Torahs around the world hands himself in on fraud charge
A Jewish charity co-founder, who claimed that he traveled the world rescuing Torahs as a Jewish Indiana Jones, has surrendered to face mail and wire fraud charges after authorities said he duped benefactors by fabricating dramatic stories about sometimes dangerous trips, including to concentration camp sites in Poland and Germany. Menachem Youlus, who owns the Jewish Bookstore in Wheaton, Maryland, where he resides, was charged in a criminal complaint unsealed in federal court in Manhattan and has been released on $100,000 bail.
A Hispanic housekeeper kidnapped a five-month-old girl from the rabbi who recently fired her – and planned to take the baby with her to Uruguay
Gloria Suarez, angry over losing her summer job as a maid for Rabbi Yitzchok Hayempour and his eleven children, told cops that she took baby Esther because she believed the baby would get more love and attention from her than she would ever get from the Hayempours. Suarez has been arraigned on charges of kidnapping and resisting arrest. She is being held without bail.
Nearly one in four Americans feel that racial relations have gotten worse since Obama was elected President in 2008, a new poll has revealed
Nearly two thirds of Americans believe that race relations have remained static or declined. The Gallup poll found that even among those who believe Obama has made racial issues better, the change has been minor. A mere 7% say that things have improved a lot, whilst 28% say they have only gotten a little better.

A black 16-year-old has been charged in the rape of a 68-year-old woman at a train station
Aarion Mosley has been charged as an adult with rape and robbery in the attack of the woman as she sat in a passenger shelter at the Miller South Shore station during a late night rainstorm. Police said that Mosley rode up on a bike, sat down next to the victim, pulled out a gun and assaulted her. The attack was captured on Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District parking lot security cameras. Officers picked up Mosley for questioning at Lew Wallace High School where he was starting his sophomore year. The woman was sitting on a bench at the station, at U.S. Route 12 and Lake Street, eating a sandwich and seeking shelter from a rainstorm. The assailant approached the woman, chatted with her, then pulled out a gun as he forced her onto the floor, police said. Police said that they were able to connect Mosley with the attacks after arresting him the next day for breaking into a car in the parking lot of the same train station. He was caught on surveillance tape riding away from the scene of the rape, police said. Gary school officials said that transit police came to Lew Wallace High School to question the teen. The school immediately called his parents. Police said that, during questioning, Mosley admitted his involvement in the rape. Police said that surveillance video played a big part in Mosley’s arrest. Miller businesses gave police a series of videos from their security cameras. In one of those videos, a transit officer recognized Mosley as a person he arrested at the Miller Station for breaking into a car on the day after the rape.

Lots of African American moms put soft bedding such as pillows and blankets where babies sleep, despite warnings that the cushioning increases the risk of infant death, according to a new study
Researchers know that black babies are at least twice as likely as white, Latino, and Asian babies to die of accidental suffocation, strangulation or sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) - also known as "crib death." While much of that higher incidence may be related to genetics, some of it might be due to black parents putting infants in a dangerous sleeping place or position.
Two black women are accused of stealing up to $300,000 of goods from a shopping mall in a crime spree spanning over six months, which they blamed on an addiction to money and clothes
Velita P. Downey, 43, and Chris E. Pasley, 26, both from Oklahoma City, were arrested after multiple complaints following a string of shoplifting reports at Quail Springs Mall. Downey blamed the store's lack of security for being able to steal so many goods and admitted doing it for the last 30 years. On one day alone, the women stole $3,000 of clothes, shoes and bedding from J.C. Penney.
The nation's second-largest Indian tribe formally booted from membership thousands of descendants of black slaves who were brought to Oklahoma more than 170 years ago by Native American owners
The Cherokee nation voted after the Civil War to admit the slave descendants to the tribe. But now, the tribe's Supreme Court ruled that a 2007 tribal decision to kick the so-called Freedmen out of the tribe could be upheld. As a sovereign nation, Cherokee Nation officials maintain that the tribe has the right to amend its constitutional membership requirements. Removal from the membership rolls means that the Freedmen will no longer be eligible for free health care and other benefits such as education concessions.
A Muslim minicab driver has been jailed for 11 years for raping and threatening to kill an 18-year-old woman in Surrey, England
Masood Ahmed, 26, of south-west London, was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court. The woman was attacked by Ahmed in the early hours of 13 August 2010. Det Ch Insp Steve Hayes said: "This was a sickening assault by Ahmed who saw an opportunity to attack a lone woman in the quiet early hours and took it." Ahmed was sentenced to nine years in prison for each of the two counts of rape that he was convicted of, and five years for a charge of assault, to run concurrently. He also received two years for one count of making threats to kill, to run consecutively. Ahmed, who worked for a firm in London, had forced the woman into woodland, put his hands around her throat and threatened to kill her before he assaulted and raped her.
Police are looking for a black man who stabbed a pedestrian on Long Island after asking him for a dollar
Nassau County police say that the 27-year-old victim was walking on Nassau Road in Roosevelt when the black suspect approached and asked him for a dollar. The victim said that he didn't have any money and continued walking. Police say that the suspect followed him and then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach and hand multiple times. A passing motorist scared the suspect off. He fled, empty-handed, in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The suspect is described as a black man about 5'7" with a medium build.
Sonoma County prosecutors have filed charges against a Hispanic driver who ran over a 4-year-old boy in a Santa Rosa crosswalk and then sped off
Marcos Lopez Garcia, 22, was charged in Superior Court with felony hit-and-run as well as two misdemeanors, vehicular manslaughter and driving without a valid license. Garcia, who is being held without bail because federal officials suspect him of being an illegal immigrant, has two previous arrests for driving without a license, records show. Five days before the crash, police said, he was told not to drive until a court appearance in October 2011. Garcia was charged in connection with the crash that killed 4-year-old Christopher "Buddy" Rowe of Santa Rosa, who was on his way to soccer practice. Christopher was hit while crossing with his mother, his twin sister and his 6-year-old sister. He clung to life at Children's Hospital Oakland, but "his heart finally gave way", his family said in a statement.

A new study deals a blow to the idea that most European men are descended from farmers who migrated from the Near East 5,000-10,000 years ago
The findings challenge previous research showing that the genetic signature of the farmers displaced that of Europe's indigenous hunters. The latest research leans towards the idea that most of Europe's males trace a line of descent to stone-age hunters. Archaeological finds show that modern humans first settled in Europe from about 40,000 years ago - during a time known as the Palaeolithic. These people survived an Ice Age some 20,000 years ago by retreating to relatively warm refuges in the south of the continent, before expanding into northern Europe again when the ice melted. But just a few thousand years after Europe had been resettled by these hunter-gatherers, the continent underwent momentous cultural change. Farmers spread westwards from the area that is now Turkey, bringing with them a new economy and way of life. The extent to which modern Europeans are descended from these early farmers versus the indigenous hunter-gatherers who settled the continent thousands of years previously is a matter of heated debate. The latest study focused on the Y chromosome - a package of DNA which is passed down more or less unchanged from father to son. The Y chromosomes carried by people today can be classified into different types, or lineages, which - to some extent - reflect their geographical origins. More than 100 million European men carry a type called R-M269, so identifying when this genetic group spread out is vital to understanding the peopling of Europe. R-M269 is most common in western Europe, reaching frequencies of 90% or more in Spain, Ireland and Wales. But while this type reaches its highest distribution on the Atlantic fringe, Patricia Balaresque and colleagues at the University of Leicester published a paper in 2010 showing that the genetic diversity of R-M269 increases as one moves east - reaching a peak in Anatolia (modern Turkey). Genetic diversity is used as a measure of age; lineages that have been around for a long time accumulate more diversity. So this principle can be used to estimate the age of a population. When the Leicester team estimated how old R-M269 was in different populations across Europe, they found the age ranges were more compatible with an expansion in Neolithic times (between 5,000 and 10,000 years ago). The team's conclusions received support from papers published in August 2010 and in June 2011. But one study which appeared in 2010 backed the idea of a more ancient, Palaeolithic origin for R-M269. Now, a team including Cristian Capelli and George Busby at Oxford University have explored the question. Their results, based on a sample of more than 4,500 men from Europe and western Asia, showed no geographical trends in the diversity of R-M269. Such trends would be expected if the lineage had expanded from Anatolia with Neolithic farmers. Furthermore, they suggest that some of the markers on the Y chromosome are less reliable than others for estimating the ages of genetic lineages. On these grounds, they argue that current analytical tools are unsuitable for dating the expansion of R-M269. Indeed, Dr Capelli and his team say the problem extends to other studies of Y-chromosome lineages: dates based on the analysis of conventional DNA markers may have been "systematically underestimated". But Dr Capelli stressed that his study could not answer the question of when the ubiquitous R-M269 expanded in Europe, although his lab is carrying out more work on the subject. The increasing frequency of R-M269 towards western Europe had long been seen by some researchers as an indication that Palaeolithic European genes survived in this region - alongside other clues. A more recent origin for R-M269 than the Neolithic is still possible. But researchers point out that after the advent of agriculture, populations in Europe exploded, meaning that it would have been more difficult for incoming migrants to displace local people.
A black teen who recently appeared on Nancy Grace’s judge program has been gunned down by her baby’s father, family members said
Jashaya Stanley, 19, of Brooklyn, threw bleach on Joshua Knox after he punched her during a heated argument. Knox, also 19, walked away from the fight only to return a short time later with a gun and shot her six times in the chest. Jashaya was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead. Knox, who was released from prison recently after his arrest for selling drugs, has been arrested.
A 13-year-old Hispanic has been accused of killing his sister because her crying interrupted a video game he was playing
Crystian Rivera shook his nine-month-old sister so hard that she suffered a serious brain injury and fractured skull. The Oklahoma teen told police that he was angry because the baby's cries distracted him from his game and caused his character to die. Rivera was initially arrested on a child abuse charge, but this was upgraded to murder after the infant died.
A black father drowned his two young sons after abducting them and their mother while they were walking to school, according to police
Naim Rasool Mohammed, from Dallas, was arrested in a creek bed hours after police issued an alert saying that he was suspected of abducting the two boys, aged three and five. According to a police report, Mohammed, 32, approached the boys and their 22-year-old mother as they were walking to school and forced them into his vehicle by threatening her with a brick. The woman eventually managed to jump from the vehicle and flag down a Dallas County constable, who notified police but did not give chase. Mohammed also tried but failed to take his youngest child, a one-year-old, from another location, Police Deputy Chief Craig Miller said at a news conference. The boys' mother told officers that Mohammed had threatened to kill the children, and that he had previously threatened them and her, police said. The boys were pronounced dead at a hospital and Mohammed, who has previously convicted of violent behaviour, is being held at the Dallas County Jail. In September 2009, Mohammed pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony, and received five years' probation. According to court records, which also spell his last name Muhammad, the charge stemmed from a complaint from his sister that he had struck her in the head with a hammer. Mohammed also has convictions for burglary of a vehicle, theft by check and marijuana possession, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety's online data base.
Muslims in Britain demand Sharia student loans because paying interest goes against Islamic law
Once again Muslims show themselves to be incapable of assimilation in non-Islamic nations. What will probably happen is that the pandering British government will provide interest-free loans to Muslim students that will be paid for by the non-Islamic British taxpayer.
An international survey of 23 countries by Ipsos has found that Europeans are overwhelmingly against immigration
Majorities in countries as diverse as Germany, South Africa, Russia, Turkey and the United States were found to consider immigration to have a very or fairly negative impact. Anti-immigration sentiment was particularly strong in Europe, with over 65% of Spaniards, Italians and British polled strongly or partly agreeing that there are too many immigrants in their countries. In no country did a majority consider immigration to have been beneficial. Majorities in most EU countries surveyed agreed that immigration had made it more difficult for citizens to find employment and placed too much pressure on public services, such as health care and education.
A study found that black and Latino students with academic credentials equal to those of white students are slightly more likely than their white counterparts to apply to and enroll at selective colleges
The main reason why minorities are less likely to go to elite colleges is that black and Latino applicants don't have the same academic credentials as their white counterparts. On average, Asian Americans apply to colleges with SAT averages 50 points higher than those to which white applicants apply; white applicants, in turn, apply to colleges with SAT averages about 50 points higher than those to which black and Latino students apply. The data shows that 30% of Asian American applicants apply to competitive colleges, compared to 18% of white students and 10% of black and Latino students. When academic background is controlled for, the study found that while Asians are more likely to apply to and enroll at selective colleges than are all other groups, black and Latino applicants are slightly more likely to apply to and enroll in selective colleges than are white students. The main factor keeping minorities out of elite colleges appears to be the relatively small number of black and Latino applicants with academic backgrounds comparable to those of white students.

Researchers in Germany have shown that individuals from cold, dry climates, such as Greenland or Siberia, had higher and narrower nasal cavities than those from hot, humid climates, such as Papua New Guinea or Gabon. The German team took computer-aided measurements of the nasal cavities of 100 skulls representing 10 human groups living in five different climates. They found that the nasal cavities of cold, dry climate populations are relatively high and show a larger and more abrupt change in diameter in the upper part of the cavity than those of hot, humid climate populations. This narrowing of the nasal passage enhances contact between the air and the mucosal tissue, which helps to warm and humidify that air. Cold, dry climate populations also show a relatively longer nasal cavity, giving this population more space in which to bring incoming air in line with body temperature. Microscopic hairs called cilia, which line the nasal passage, help to keep out pathogens and dust that may infect or irritate the lungs, and the cilia work more efficiently when incoming air is moist. Proper heating and humidification of air in colder climates is important for respiratory health. In warm-climate-adapted populations, inhalations are not directed toward the narrow upper part of the nasal cavity for warming. So people from warm climates, moving into cold climates, could be more susceptible to colds and related diseases.

Mitt Romney would beat Obama among registered voters, and Rick Perry would tie Obama if the election were held today, according to a new Gallup Poll
Obama only leads Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann among registered voters, by 2% and 4%, respectively. The numbers reflect a worrying slide for Obama heading into the 2012 campaign season, and the poll gives each of those four Republican candidates the ability to sell their electability to primary voters. Just as worrying for Obama is that all the Republicans except Bachmann lead Obama among registered voters who consider themselves independents. Romney leads among independents 47% to 44%, Perry leads 46% to 44% and Paul leads 46% to 43%. Only Bachmann trails Obama, 48% to 42%.
Poll shows that only 19% of the nation's voters strongly approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president
According to the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, 45% of American voters strongly disapprove of Obama's performance. As tension continues in Libya, only 12% think that the United States should get more involved in Syria. Only 20% of voters think that government anti-poverty programs reduce poverty and 71% believe that too many people get welfare who should not be getting it. In addition, 59% of voters think that immigrants who follow the law and enter the United States legally should have to wait three years or more before collecting welfare benefits. Overall, 44% of voters say that they at least somewhat approve of Obama's performance, while 56% at least somewhat disapprove. Finally 59% of American adults think that it is better to have lower corporate tax rates and very few deductions than to have higher tax rates and lots of deductions and 79% recognize that corporations generally pass higher taxes along to their customers in the form of higher prices.
Schools with a higher percentage of blacks tend to have lower intelligence levels

Among women, the fastest-growing group of concealed handgun license owners in Texas is African American
Is this really a good thing? After all, there is a strong chance that these guns will end up in the hands of their boyfriends and/or sons. And black women tend to have a higher crime rate than women of other races.
The national debt has now increased $4 trillion on Obama's watch
The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion. It's the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president. The national debt increased $4.9 trillion during the eight-year presidency of George W. Bush. The debt now is rising at a pace to surpass that amount during Obama's four-year term.

Learning is racist
New York City would rather spend huge sums of money on "non-racist" tests instead of admitting that blacks are less intelligent than whites. The controversial upcoming Fire Department of New York (FDNY) exam will be the most expensive test in the city's history. The new civil service test, ordered by a Brooklyn federal judge who declared that previous FDNY exams discriminated against minorities, is expected to cost the city more than $3.3 million to develop and administer, officials said. The cost of the previous Fire Department exam, given in 2007, was $1.3 million, according to officials at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services. Of course, if some liberal judge decides that not enough blacks and Hispanics pass this next exam, then a new exam will probably be called for at even greater expense to the New York City taxpayer. Unfortunately, many liberals in New York City seem determined to bankrupt the city in pursuit of their politically-correct agenda.

A black man faces a maximum 76 years in prison after being convicted of having sexual conduct with a now 17-year-old girl in April and May of 2010
A seven-woman, five-man jury deliberated just over 90 minutes before finding Randy L. Scott, 35, guilty of all 13 counts. The charges included four counts each of rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition and one count of kidnapping with a sexual motivation specification. Assistant Prosecutor Gary Bishop said that good forensic work by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification led to the conviction. A pair of state forensic scientists testified that DNA evidence found on the victim's underwear and on a towel matched that of control samples taken from Scott. Both witnesses indicated that it was extremely unlikely the DNA was from someone else.
A black man suspected in the deaths of his wife and her three children found in their burned apartment has been arrested in South Carolina
Newport News police said that John Moses Ragin, 36, was taken into custody after he called detectives to say he was in Manning, South Carolina. Police said that they were bringing Ragin back to Virginia after obtaining warrants for four counts of murder. Additional charges are pending. Police found four bodies when they were called to the family's apartment because of a fire. They have been identified as 32-year-old Crystal Ragin and her children, 15-year-old Sierra, 10-year-old Rasheed and 6-year-old Lakwan. Officials say that each suffered apparent knife wounds and exposure to the fire, but a medical examiner has yet to determine how each died.
Pakistani marital violence in America
The tragic Muslim mother-of-two who was fatally shot on a New Jersey street was acquainted with the woman hired by her husband to kill her. The sister of slain 27-year-old Nazish Noorani says that she met her husband, Kashif Parvaiz's mistress, Antoinette Stephen, during an earlier trip to Boston, Massachusetts. Lubna Choudry accused her brother-in-law of flaunting the extra-marital affair, going so far as to introduce Stephen as his fiancée to get a discount at a Boston Best Buy, where the hit-woman worked. Parvaiz and 26-year-old Stephen of Billerica, Massachusetts, both face charges of murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses for the shooting. Parvaiz also faces child-endangerment charges. The married couple were walking with their three-year-old son in Boonton, New Jersey to Choudry's home three blocks away when shots rang out. Noorani was hit near her heart. Parvaiz was shot in the ankle and shoulder, sustaining superficial wounds. The child was not injured. The couple's five-year-old son was with family members inside the house. Parvaiz initially told police his family had been attacked by a group of men who called them terrorists, authorities said, but Stephen and Parvaiz exchanged text messages in the days leading up to the shooting, according to an arrest affidavit released by the Morris County prosecutor's office. Texts from Stephen's number describe driving around the neighbourhood to see how far away the nearest police station was. Parvaiz, who has been in the hospital, was charged after admitting that he was involved in the killing. He is being held on $1 million bail. Stephen was arrested in Massachusetts and arraigned on a fugitive-from-justice charge. She is being held without bail at a women's prison there. Parvaiz's accounts of the attack were inconsistent and immediately raised suspicions, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi. He told investigators that the couple was attacked by a combination of black and white males who shouted ethnic slurs, authorities said. In his initial story, the group shouted something about the family being terrorists, authorities said. But within hours, Bianchi said that it was obvious to investigators that this was the handy work of the victim's husband who did the unthinkable and plotted to murder his wife. Parvaiz conspired with Stephen to have his wife killed because she had dared to speak negatively about his family. The woman was buried after services at an Islamic center in Boonton, a small town about 25 miles west of New York with a large Pakistani population. She was a native of Karachi, Pakistan. Relatives had earlier spoken of the Muslim couple's violent arranged marriage, marred by infidelity and lies. Noorani lived in fear of her abusive husband as their marriage crumbled and chillingly foretold of her fate to her brother. The young Muslim woman married Parvaiz despite a background check run by her family, which revealed that he had lied in the past about graduating from two schools: Brooklyn Polytechnic and New York University. He has also claimed to have attended Ivy League Harvard and Columbia, but neither have records of him signing up.
Black teen kills 92-year-old woman
Thelma Steele, a 92-year-old neighborhood matriarch, and William Fitts, a teenager who lived across the street, were like grandmother and grandson, family members said. She would buy him toys and gadgets for Christmas and his birthday. Recently — after Steele welcomed Fitts into her Forestville home — the 15-year-old black male bludgeoned her with her walking cane and stabbed her with a knife, law enforcement sources said. Steele, a secretary at a D.C. bank who had retired long ago, watched Fitts grow up from the window of her home on East Avenue, family members said. The black boy was adopted from a family in Brazil when he was 3 weeks old and he has lived in the house across the street from Steele’s ever since, family members said. Police said that they don’t know what sparked such a brutal attack, but that Steele’s home was ransacked and robbery may have been part of the motive. Prince George’s County homicide detectives considered Fitts a suspect after someone at a house in his neighborhood tried to use Steele’s credit card to buy synthetic marijuana online, said law enforcement sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Fitts was one of five people from the house who were brought in for questioning, and he soon admitted that he was involved in the killing, according to police and court papers. He said a knife found in his home was the murder weapon, police said. Fitts was charged as an adult with first-degree murder. After a brief hearing, Prince George’s District Judge Thurman H. Rhodes ordered that he be held without bond before a preliminary hearing.
Mental illness: Women are more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety or depression, while men tend toward substance abuse or antisocial disorders
A study looked at the prevalence by gender of different types of common mental illnesses. The researchers also found that women with anxiety disorders are more likely to internalize emotions, which typically results in withdrawal, loneliness and depression. Men, on the other hand, are more likely to externalize emotions, which leads to aggressive, impulsive, coercive and non-compliant behavior, according to the study. Researchers analyzed data collected in 2001 and 2002 by a National Institutes of Health survey of 43,093 U.S. residents 18 and older who were civilians and not institutionalized. Of those, 57% were women and 56.9% were white; 19.3% were Hispanic or Latino; 19.1% were African-American; 3.1% Asian, native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander; and 1.6% were American Indian or native Alaskan.

A teenage waiter knifed two British women to death in Turkey after one refused to let him marry her 15-year-old daughter
The obsessed 17-year-old Turk lured the women to a secluded wood where he cut their throats. The girl, Shannon Graham, had been dating Recep Cetin for two years. He was said to be totally infatuated and very possessive. Recently her mother Marion, 53, had a blazing row with Cetin, who uses the name Alex. After he kicked Shannon during an altercation, Graham went ballistic and told him never to lay a finger on her daughter again. The Turkish waiter responded by threatening to kill Graham if she came between him and Shannon. Cetin has confessed to killing Graham and her friend Cathy Dinsmore, also 53.

Black scientists are significantly less likely than white researchers to win grants from the National Institutes of Health
Since there is an IQ gap between the average black and the average white, we should not be too surprised that there is a similar intelligence gap between black and white scientists which would likely explain why black researchers are less likely to get grants. It makes more sense to give the grant money to the smartest scientists.

A Hispanic has been sentenced to 95 years to life in prison for raping two women
Jaime Zamora Ramirez, 42, was found guilty by a jury of forcibly raping a friend and a minor female, both of whom he met through work. In October 2008, Ramirez went out dancing with some friends, including his first victim. After the victim came back home, Ramirez knocked on her door and asked for a beer to take back to a neighbor's home. One of those neighbors noticed Ramirez talking to the victim, and the two argued about whether Ramirez was bothering her or not. Shortly after the argument, Ramirez barged into the victim's apartment, forced her onto the bed and raped her. In July 2009, Ramirez, who worked as a manager at First Class Cleaners in Fountain Valley, told a minor employee to come over to his home so he can give her some paperwork to bring back to work. When the minor arrived, Ramirez lured her to his bedroom, pretending to give her the paperwork. When she came into his room, Ramirez locked the door and raped her. The second victim threatened to report the rape, but Ramirez told her he knew that she was an illegal immigrant. He said that if she reported the incident, no one would believe her. After her co-workers convinced her, the victim eventually reported the rape to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
A Hispanic has been arrested and charged with raping a 9-year-old
Julio Cruz-Castellanos, 31, has been charged with the continuous sexual abuse of a child, 2nd-degree rape and 3rd-degree unlawful sexual contact. Police say that the child was raped on at least 10 occasions. The abuse had been happening since the child was seven years old, police say.
Suspected traffickers in Mexico killed and mutilated a man, then left his body parts around Acapulco in a macabre taunt to authorities in the resort city that has become plagued by drug violence
Police in the port city received reports of an abandoned human head on a busy street. Officers answering the call also found a human torso stuffed into a bag, the police force said on its website. Later, the deceased's legs and feet were discovered hanging from a downtown bridge, with a message from the perpetrators to authorities. Finally, on another bridge on the road to Mexico City north of Acapulco, police found the victim's hands, bearing a note to state and local governments. Acapulco is one of the tourist destinations most visited by Mexicans, but since 2010 it increasingly has been gripped by violence as warring drug cartels battle for control of criminal activities, mainly trafficking.
Judge orders Chicago to hire 111 black firefighters because they were "discriminated" against
What the judge does not seem to understand is that tests are supposed to discriminate. Their purpose is to separate the qualified from the unqualified. It is not white people's fault that blacks tend to be less qualified than other racial groups.
Rabbi is accused of abusing two boys
Rabbi Uzi Rivlin of Teaneck, New Jersey was running a scholarship program that brought impoverished, Israeli boys and girls to the United States for a summer respite from strife at home. But Bergen County prosecutors say that the 63-year-old married father betrayed the children's trust, sexually abusing at least two, 13-year-old Israeli boys at his Teaneck home, when they came here to spend recent summers. Two boys have filed separate reports with Israeli authorities, claiming that Rivlin had touched them in a sexual manner when they stayed at his home in Teaneck. One boy was here in the summer of 2009 and the other stayed in the house during the summer of 2010. The FBI was notified and turned the information over to the Teaneck Police Department. Rivlin has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The boys were brought here as part of a program called the Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Children in Israel, which Rivlin partly sponsored. Rivlin was being held at the Bergen County Jail on $175,000 bail. Investigators are working to determine if Uzi Rivlin victimized any other young people - under the guise of helping them.
An Islamic religious leader is charged with a string of sexual offenses against some of his students in Toronto
Mohammad Masroor, 48, faces 13 charges and is believed to have traveled extensively around the world, raising fears that there are other victims. He was arrested in a case involving five people, both male and female. He is the Imam of the Baitul Mukarram Islamic Society. He has lived in Asia, Europe and most recently Florida, Michigan and Bangladesh. Det.-Const. Karen Armstrong said that he has been in Canada since 2008. Armstrong said that the suspect used his position of authority but stopped short of calling him a sexual predator. Armstrong said that it was a three-week investigation and police refused to reveal any information about court appearances. The allegations deal with sexual related offenses and threatening death. Police said that the suspect taught the Koran both at the mosque and privately at homes.

Variations in mitochondrial DNA are associated with poorer CD4 cell gains after the initiation of antiretroviral therapy in non-Hispanic black patients
Black people who had a certain cluster of variations in mitochondrial DNA were less likely to experience an increase in their CD4 cell count above 100 cells/mm3 after a year of HIV therapy than patients with a differing genetic profile. All the patients had a viral load below 400 copies. There was no evidence of a similar influence of these variations, or haplogroups, of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) on CD4 cell changes in white or Hispanic patients. However, the investigators note that in other research involving Caucasian patients not taking HIV therapy certain haplogroups have been associated with increased progression to AIDS and faster falls in CD4 cell count. They comment that their study provides insight into the contribution of mitochondrial genomics to CD4 cell recovery in individuals of non-European descent.
A new low of 26% of Americans approve of Barack Obama's handling of the economy
Obama earns similarly low approval for his handling of the federal budget deficit (24%) and creating jobs (29%).
African American women have higher rates of a type of breast cancer that isn't dependent for growth on the hormones estrogen or progesterone
Black women also have a higher rate of childbearing than do white American women. A new study finds that there is likely a link between those two facts - that bearing a baby to term raises the risk for this type of cancer, called estrogen or progesterone receptor-negative breast cancer. The study also finds that black women who breastfeed their babies can lower their odds of developing this cancer back down again. The study followed a group of 47,000 African American women from 1996 through 2009. Researchers had participants fill out, every two years, a detailed questionnaire assessing a wide range of factors that affect a woman's risk for breast cancer - including weight, age at which they began menstruating, pregnancies and age of first childbearing, birth control or hormone-replacement use, physical activity and alcohol consumption. What they found was that African American women who had given birth to more children were more likely to develop estrogen or progesterone-negative cancer than their peers who had not given birth or who had given birth to only one child. But when a woman with two or more childbirths breastfed her babies, that risk declined considerably. The authors surmised that given the prevalence of infectious diseases in Africa, women of African origins may respond to pregnancy with a particularly strong immune response, which in turn can allow cancers to gain a foothold in the body. Lactation, they noted, appears to blunt that effect. Estrogen or progesterone receptor-negative breast cancers are less common than those that are fueled by those hormones, representing just one in four breast cancers. But they tend to be more aggressive and harder to treat. Despite aggressive public health campaigns touting the benefits - to mother and child - of breastfeeding, the practice is less common among African American women than among white women. Future efforts to promote breastfeeding, wrote the authors, should let African American women know that moms who nurse their babies may also reduce their odds of developing a breast cancer that affects them disproportionately and is difficult to treat.
Forty-five council homes a day will have to be built to house the tidal wave of immigrants in Britain, a shock report reveals
This means that 415,000 extra homes will be needed over the next 25 years - at a cost to taxpayers of £1 billion a year. The findings in the report by pressure group Migration Watch UK are a startling illustration of the immigration time-bomb. The building rate will be the only way to keep families off the streets - unless the current influx of 200,000 a year is stemmed. Waiting lists for social housing in England have mushroomed by 60% over the past eight years, largely due to immigration. The report claimed that just 17% of people born in Britain live in properties owned by local authorities or housing associations. That compares with 80% of migrants from Somalia and 49% of those from Turkey. Migration Watch UK accused politicians of covering up the problem. Chairman Sir Andrew Green said: "Either the Government must cut immigration very substantially as they've promised or they must invest very large sums in the construction of extra social housing."
Race and the performance of high school graduates in English, reading, math, and science
Just 4% of African-Americans met the benchmarks in all four subjects, compared with 11% of Hispanics and American Indians, 15% of Pacific Islanders, 31% of whites, and 41% of Asian-Americans. At least 50% of African-American, Hispanic, and American-Indian students didn’t meet any of the four benchmarks.
The Anti-Defamation League, the Southern Poverty Law Center and free speech
Jared Taylor points out that groups such as the SPLC and the ADL actively work to suppress the free speech rights of anyone they disagree with. Unfortunately, he does not point out that these organizations would not exist if it wasn't for their Jewish supporters.

Mexican immigrants don't like Mexican immigrants
Nearly all of Greenfield's 16,300 people are Latino — and yet an ugly conflict has been brewing between longer-time residents and newcomers from another part of Mexico. Established residents say a massive influx of migrants from the Mexican state of Oaxaca has changed their city for the worse. Over the past decade, the migrants — Triquis, Mixtecs and other indigenous people who streamed from small mountain villages to Greenfield to plant and pick crops — spurred Greenfield's growth and now make up about a third of the town's population. (They represent up to 30% of farmworkers in California and 17% nationwide, the U.S. Department of Labor says.) They speak their own languages, not Spanish, they keep their own customs, such as arranged marriages, and, despite a long-standing tradition of sanctuary and tolerance in Greenfield, they remain separate. In a town feeling heavily pressured by the economic crisis and gang activity, the influx of Oaxacans and their lack of understanding of U.S. customs has led to an ethnic clash. Rachel Ortiz became so displeased with the new migrants that, after more than five decades in Greenfield, she left her cul-de-sac home and moved to Salinas, 30 miles away. Ortiz and others in newly-formed community groups complained that the Oaxacan families clustered in overcrowded apartments and garages, threw trash into the streets, thronged city parks, held loud parties. Some urinated in public and were involved in break-ins.
Black-on-black-crime: A man was shot dead just hours after two people appeared in court accused of conspiring to kill him in a Facebook murder-for-hire scheme
Authorities are investigating two possible theories in connection with the death of Corey White, 22, in Philadelphia. Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said that police are investigating leads about whether the fatal shooting of White was connected to the Facebook threat or to a previous shooting outside a nightclub in Upper Darby, a Philadelphia suburb. Police believe that another man was the shooter in the nightclub shooting, but they had been trying to track down White for questioning because they believed he may have been the getaway driver. A judge has approved charges including murder solicitation against White's ex-girlfriend London Eley, 19, and murder conspiracy charges against Timothy Bynum, the 18-year-old man who responded to her post.
A black mother who tried to circumcise her three-month-old son at home after reading the Old Testament and watching YouTube videos has been sentenced to five years of probation
Keemonta Peterson avoided jail after pleading guilty to first-degree criminal mistreatment - despite leaving her baby son bleeding for two hours before calling emergency services. The 30-year-old mother of four must also undergo mental health treatment. According to an arrest report Peterson began the operation using a box cutter knife as a scalpel and pliers as a tourniquet.
In California, 76% of Asian students and 71% of white students were proficient or better in English compared with 42% of Latinos and 41% of African Americans
In math, the numbers for California students are 76% for Asians, 61% for whites, 41% for Latinos and 34% for African Americans.
Once again the NAACP complains about racism because blacks are less intelligent than whites
When the New Jersey State Police’s first class of recruits in two years reports for training, only five of 123 will be black. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, of course, is blaming racism for this and wants to go to court. While minorities like Hispanics have gained ground since 2000, the percentage of black troopers has fallen from 8% to 6.4%, state figures show. This is, of course, because Hispanics are more intelligent than blacks. The new State Police class, selected more than a year ago, is more diverse than the current 2,768 troopers. It is 72.4% white, 17.9% Hispanic, 4.9% Asian, 4.1% African-American and 0.8% Native American. But the class is still less diverse than the state, which is 68.6% white and 13.7% black. Of the 263 candidates for the incoming class who passed the written exam, 33 were black. Of those 33, six dropped out and 22 were disqualified for failing a background check. Of course, giving in to NAACP demands will just result in the recruitment of less intelligent police officers, many of whom will have engaged in criminal activity in the past.
The Dutch and multiculturalism
The Dutch are not happy with all the Muslims coming to the Netherlands from poor, less educated parts of Morocco and eastern Turkey, who cling to traditional Islamic values as bulwarks against a secular European society that promotes individualism, gender equality and gay rights. Most of these Muslims don't speak Dutch and see the Netherlands as a decadent society.
Deceitful gay man and anal sex
A Columbia University study found that almost 60% of gay American men who knew that they were infected with HIV and were still having unprotected anal sex, did not mention it to all their casual partners.
Police have charged a Hispanic with raping a 9-year-old child
Cesario Lopez-Nava, 30, faces charges of first-degree rape and taking indecent liberties with a child. He is being held at the Wake County jail under a $2 million bond. Authorities are investigating whether Lopez-Nava is in the country illegally.
A 23-year old illegal immigrant from Honduran has been accused of secretly taking photos up the skirts of women in Connecticut as they shopped for clothes
Police have said that Erik Rios-Carranza is facing 137 counts of voyeurism. Police arrested Rios-Carranza at a Macy’s store in the Westfield Trumbull mall after a security officer saw Rios-Carranza put a small video camera under a young woman’s skirt when she bent to look at clothing. Police found skirt pictures from Trumbull and Milford malls and from a Bristol amusement park on Rios-Carranza’s camera.

David Starkey and black culture
James Delingpole on Starkey's views of the British riots:
The part of the programme which seems to have most got the Left’s goat is the one where David Starkey says that “the whites have become black.” But again, the cultural point he is making is indisputable. Listen to how many white kids (and Asian kids) choose to speak in black street patois; note the extent to which hip hop and grime garage and their offshoots have penetrated the white mainstream; check out how many white kids like to roll like pimps or perps with their Calvins pulled up to their midriffs and their jean waistbands sagging below their buttocks.
Is anyone seriously going to try to make the case that this isn’t black culture in excelsis? Or does anyone, perhaps, want to persuade me that this is but one tiny and much-exaggerated facet of a broader black culture dominated by opera and madrigal singing and crochet and sonnet-construction and lawn bowls and Shakespeare and new translations of Ovid? If they are capable of doing so then maybe, just maybe, I might accept that there was something demeaning or reductive in Starkey’s comments on black culture. Problem is, I don’t think anyone can. (And I speak, by the way, as someone who quite likes his hop hop and who is very much into the new Kanye West/Jay Z album. But who, listening to it, can’t help noticing that it’s rather more a celebration of gats, hos, casual sex and easy money, than it is an invocation for study, hard work and social conformity.)
To pillory a man for pointing out such a glaringly obvious cultural fact just because he’s white and Right-wing would have been quite wrong even before the riots. Post riots it is positively obscene.
Not just obscene, in fact, but dangerous. Of course, we expect the BBC not to get it. Like the Guardian – and the Labour party – the BBC created the culture that led to these riots, so it’s hardly surprising if it carries on playing the old PC game like the 80s and 90s never went away. But if an up and coming member of Cameron’s Tories hasn’t got the message then we seriously need to worry. The riots were a game changer. The decent majority of this country has moved on. If what David Starkey said was racist, then so are we all.
An unemployed Somali couple and their family have been moved into a luxurious London home worth £2 million - and pay it with a monthly £8,000 housing benefit funded by the British taxpayer
Unemployed Saeed Kahliif, 49, from Somalia, his wife Sayida and their children have been handed the keys to a sprawling six-bedroom home in West Hampstead, in North London. After moving from their Coventry home - which cost £1,000 a month in rent - the new property is thought to be one of the most expensive houses ever paid for by housing benefit. The family have moved from their cheaper house to the exclusive postcode so that they could be nearer their friends and family who live in the capital. Khaliif said that in the three years he has lived in Britain, he and his wife had not worked and were reliant on benefits to support them and their family.
A black thief who was released from a New York jail so she could get a heart transplant is back behind bars - possibly for good - after she was caught shoplifting again
Forty-seven-year-old African-American Diane McCloud was freed by a judge in January 2011 after a doctor said that she had only six months to live if she didn't get a transplant. But a lawyer for the dying Long Island woman said that the new arrest has probably cost her any chance of getting a new heart. After her release, McCloud, who has end-stage heart disease, got into trouble with the court for continuing to smoke cigarettes. She was then arrested and jailed for stealing about $500 in toiletry items from a drug store in July 2011. McCloud sobbed in court as she pleaded guilty to petit larceny charges before Nassau District Court Judge Francis Ricigliano. Just eight months earlier, Judge Ricigliano had halted a previous 15-month sentence for a petit larceny charge. Now she has to finish serving her original sentence, plus additional time in the new theft case - if she lives. Her lawyer, Leonard Isaacs, said that as an inmate, she no longer qualifies for the Medicaid that would have covered a transplant.
A black woman has been accused of child abuse after beating her son with a computer cable for using Facebook without permission
Althea Ricketts, 62 has been charged with aggravated child abuse. Ricketts first found out about her son's account after an acquaintance told her about a disturbing post on his Facebook profile page. Her son had posted a worrying message which indicated that he might try to hurt himself. In an interview with police, the boy, whose age was not released, said that his mother had become angry and beaten him with a cable at their home in Apopka, Florida. An arrest report states that Ricketts called back and told the woman she'd hit her son and he'd run away from home. He was later found at a friend's home with injuries to both arms, police said. The boy was nervous and crying when he arrived at the friend's house police were told. One resident said that when confronted Ricketts had said that the boy deserved everything he got. Arresting documents state that Ricketts told police that the boy had lied to her about having the page, and that she'd become angry and hit him with a computer cable inside their home. The arresting officer wrote in a report that Ricketts said that hitting a child with a cable is a common way of disciplining kids where she comes from.
Demography of the British riots
A Steve Sailer reader estimates that the rioters were 60% black, 35% white and 5% South Asian.

A Brazilian judge renowned for her work against organized crime has been shot dead in Rio de Janeiro State
Patricia Acioli was gunned down outside her home in the city of Niteroi by masked men traveling on two motorbikes, officials said. She was best known for convicting members of vigilante gangs and corrupt police officers. The judge's family said that she had received several death threats, but had not had a police escort. The gunmen intercepted the mother-of-three's car as she was arriving at home in Niteroi, just across Guanabara Bay from Rio de Janeiro. They had fired at least 16 shots, killing the 47-year-old instantly, reports said. Rio has stepped up its campaign against violent crime ahead of hosting football's World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.
African university runs out of paper
University students at Sierra Leone's respected Fourah Bay College were unable to take their final exams because of a lack of paper. The principal, Prof Thomas Yormah, told the more than 4,000 angry students on campus that the exams were postponed until new stationary arrived. In February 2011, the college's first semester exams were delayed by two weeks as it lacked classroom furniture. Prof Yormah said that there had been some hitch in preparing the examination booklets, but promised a commission of enquiry would get to the bottom of the matter. "I'm very disappointed that Fourah Bay College, once the Athens of West Africa, is faced with this embarrassing situation," student activist Siman-Allie Mans-Conteh said about the exam debacle. Another student felt there was no excuse for the college authorities to be so disorganized. "Students have paid their fees and we expect the management to ensure that students take their exams on time," he said. Prof Yormah admitted that the situation was embarrassing. "But you have to understand we do not have adequate resources to cater for the demands that we have for our programs," he said. The college - which is part of the University of Sierra Leone - complains that the fees they are allowed to charge students are very low, ranging from between $200 and $800 a year. The central government does not allow for increased fees and the subsidy it receives is paltry, the college says. It is common to see students at the college standing outside a classroom listening in to a lecture, or lectures being held outdoors. Those who have space in the classrooms sit on benches not chairs.
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has called for a wealth tax to be imposed on all white South Africans
I guess that this is the new meaning of diversity: tax the whites and spend on the blacks.
Obama's approval rating has taken a sharp dive in the Democratic stronghold of New York, according to a new survey
A Quinnipiac University poll found that 49% of voters disapprove of the job Obama is doing as president, while 45% approve, marking the first time Obama's approval numbers have been under water in a Quinnipiac poll taken in the Empire State. Obama has seen his numbers drop sharply since a June 2011 Quinnipiac survey in which 57% approved of his performance and 38% did not. The poll's director, Maurice Carroll, said in a statement that the congressional drama over raising the nation's debt ceiling devastated Barack Obama's numbers even in true blue New York.
Have British whites become black?
British historian, David Starkey, gets into trouble for pointing out that the recent riots in Britain show that too many whites think it is cool to act like black people.

A black 16-year-old, who had acquired the chilling nickname 'Uzi', has been charged with the brutal killing of a gang rival
The black school girl, who is thought to have been named after the sub-machine gun, is charged with second degree murder after the Easter shooting of another teen. Nathaniel Walcott, also 16 and black, was gunned down while riding his child-sized bicycle in Brooklyn, New York City. Sahiah Davis, a newly inaugurated member of the Wave Gang, had been ordered to take down a member of her former crew, the Hood Starz, police sources said. Nathaniel, the son of a retired city correction officer, was shot in the lower back as he rode his bicycle near his home in Brooklyn. Police responding to a 911 call found the 16-year-old lying in a pool of blood near a playground park. He was rushed to hospital where he later died. Nathaniel had been visiting his parents in Brooklyn for Easter from a juvenile reform center in Westchester, in upstate New York. The troubled teen had spent the previous 18 months there, following disciplinary problems at school. A judge ordered that the 5-foot-11 schoolgirl be held without bail on murder and gun possession charges.
A South Asian father of two in Birmingham was one of the first people in Britain to be jailed over the riots
Imran Khan, aged 23, attacked a police officer in Arden Road, Saltley. He has admitted using threatening words and behavior and assaulting a police constable and was jailed for ten weeks at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court. Khan was among several people who appeared in court in Birmingham and Wolverhampton in connection with the unrest. Those appearing in Birmingham included Munir Zaman, aged 20, admitted burgling JD Sports in the Bullring. Amerpreet Gill, aged 23, and Gurmeet Tarmeet, 35, were also charged with burgling JD Sports, and were remanded for a week. Ayub Ahmed, aged 23, has admitted handling stolen goods.
The graduation rate is 68% for Latinos in California
In California, the graduation rate is 59% for African American students and 56% for students who are learning English. This compares with 83.4% for whites and 89.4% for Asians.
Cousins and fertility
A study has found that the most fecund marriages are between distant cousins. The research shows that the optimum degree of outbreeding (measured in terms of the number of children and grandchildren produced) lay somewhere between cousins of the third and fourth degrees.
John Derbyshire points out that blacks comprise about 2% of the British population, and he estimates that they comprise 60 to 70% of the rioters
Yet the BBC insists on referring to the rioters as being English.
Riots and diversity
Pat Buchanan on the riots in Britain:
Thousands of hoodlums, thugs and criminals have firebombed buildings, looted stores and stripped, beaten and robbed people for no reason other than that they were white.
Overwhelmed cops virtually surrendered the city for three days. By the fourth night, the rampage had taken on a multiethnic cast as Asians and white trash appeared to join in the festival of criminality.
Asian and black store owners, too, are victims. In Birmingham, three Pakistani men defending their neighborhood were run over and killed by a truck reportedly driven by a black rioter.
In a country-and-gospel tune recalled often in the '60s, the one that gave James Baldwin the title of his polemic, this couplet appears:
God gave Noah the rainbow sign,A half-century after the long hot summers of the 1960s and two decades after the worst riot in U.S. history since the New York draft riots of 1863—the Los Angeles riot of 1992, in which blacks and Hispanics attacked Koreans and whites—the "next time" may have arrived.
No more water, the fire next time.
In Europe, the harbinger of the new century came a half-decade ago when North African youths in the Paris banlieues went on a days-long rampage of firebombing cars and attacking police and firemen, many of whom drove off and let the fires burn out.
This week, it was London's turn. And when the fires burn out, we shall hear anew the old liberal litany about poverty, despair, inequality and unemployment, the excuses that long ago ceased to persuade.
For poverty existed in far greater measure in the Depression. Yet our parents and grandparents did not form mobs to burn, beat and loot.
The West is in decline because the character of its people is in decline. In Europe, Christianity is dead. The moral code it gave men to live righteously is regarded with mockery. The London riots were the work of moral barbarians with no loyalty to the people in whose midst they live and no love for the society to which they give nothing, only take.
In America, millions of fatherless young seek out in gangs the familial ties they never knew. Those gangs are now almost always formed on the basis of ethnicity or race.
What were the British thinking when they threw open their doors to mass immigration from the Third World?
