Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that he’d welcome Chick-fil-A into Manhattan with open arms
The Jewish billionaire businessman-turned-New York mayor said that Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, along with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee, are wrong “to look at somebody’s political views and decide whether or not they can live in the city, or operate a business in the city.” Bloomberg said that “trampling on the freedom to marry whoever you want is exactly the same as trampling on your freedom to open a store.” Nice to see that Bloomberg can say some sensible things once in a while.
