The lower house of Australia’s Parliament has passed sweeping changes in immigration policy that are meant to deter asylum seekers who try to reach the country by the thousands each year on rickety, overcrowded ships and boats

In a major reversal, the measures would reopen a chain of offshore detention centers that the Labor government of Prime Minister Julia Gillard had largely abandoned when it came to power in 2007.

The only "sweeping policy" would be not to pick the trash out of the water when the boats are deliberately capsized. Let em drown, the news will cry racisssss and the rest of the muslim filth in Indonesia will get the hint...MAYBE!
