Racism and death

Researchers say that when people are reminded that death is impending, their racist tendencies increase. Could this mean that people instinctively understand that those from a different racial background are more likely to try and kill them?

I think that this shows that the human race is interested in protecting oneself over anyone else. No matter the race you are more likely to protect yourself and you family (usually you are the same race as your family)before others.

True. The more closely related people are, the more DNA they share and the more likely they are to protect each other.
