A black man who put a puppy into a hot oven because it reminded him of his ex-boyfriend has been sentenced to 90 days in prison

Gary Moore Jr., 25, of Cobb County, Georgia, admitted to putting Melody, a 20-month-old pit bull mix, into a burning oven in May 2011. The dog, who suffered severe burns all over her body, was lucky to survive after being taken to the vet by Moore’s roommate four days after the incident.
