In 75% of gun crime in London, England the victim and suspect are both from the black community

One man has died and another is in hospital after a shooting at a pub in South London. The first man was 34 and he died in hospital after the attack at the Newton Arms pub, in Queen’s Road, Croydon. His next of kin have been informed but the victim has not been formally identified. A second man, 26, is in a critical but stable condition. Police are looking for a black male who fled the scene in what is believed to be a dark four-wheel-drive vehicle. The shooting is being dealt with by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Trident, which investigates gun crime in the black community. It was set up in 1998 to try to stop a spate of shootings and murders among young blacks in London.
