The Asian mother charged with burning her six-week-old baby to death in a microwave is pregnant again

Ka Yang, 29, who has three sons, is said to have conceived a few months ago, according to her friend, Lao Thao. She appeared before a court in Sacramento, California, charged with murder and felony assault resulting in the death of a child. But Thao said that Yang is prone to seizures, and suggested she could have been confused when her little girl was put in the microwave. Yang was arrested in June 2011, three months after her baby was found dead in the family home, with fourth-degree burns - the worst the investigators had ever witnessed. Police described the child, named as Mirabelle, as suffering extensive thermal injuries.
