Muslims love Obama

80% of Muslims in the United States approve of the way that Barack Obama is handling his job as president, according to a survey conducted by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, a partnership between Gallup and the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi. According to the survey, 65% of Jews in the United States approve of the job Obama is doing; 60% of atheists, agnostics, and those of no religion approve; 50% of Catholics approve; 37% of Protestants approve and 25% of Mormons approve. Obama’s approval among Muslims in the United States has declined since 2009 but still remains far higher than the approval that President George W. Bush’s won among the Islamic group in 2008. In that year, only 7% of Muslims in the United States said that they approved of the job Bush was doing. In 2009, 84% of Muslims in the United States said that they approved of the job Obama was doing. That dropped to 78% in 2010 and then rose to 80% in 2011.
