Police were hunting Kiaira Pollard, 27, whose sons KiDonn, seven, and KrisDon, four, perished in a blaze that tore through her Pittsburgh apartment while she was at work. They believed that Pollard was with her 33-year-old girlfriend Dayna Kenney, who works as her personal security guard. Pollard surrendered to police and was charged with two counts of homicide, child endangerment and tampering with a fire apparatus, with police saying that she often left the boys at home in an apartment without a smoke alarm.
