A father saved his two-year-old son from being snatched by a black convicted sex offender

Armando Uvalle watched in horror as the black man lifted his son Isaiah into his arms as the toddler played on Chicago's North Avenue Beach. He ran across to grab the boy from the kidnapper before he could run off with his son. Police later arrested Tyrone Hill after his description was flashed to officers patrolling the beach packed with families. Hill, 37, had previous convictions for molesting young children and is a non-compliant sex offender for failing to register his address. Hill was charged with one count of attempted aggravated kidnapping of a child under 13 and one count of unlawful restraint. In 1997 he was convicted of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child. His victims were seven-years-old and he served seven years of a 12 year sentence. In 2010, he was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender, and was on probation for this when he was arrested.
