According to charities which work to protect street children in Pakistan, up to 90% are sexually abused on the first night that they sleep rough and 60% accuse police of sexually abusing them

In Pakistan, children on the street are beaten, tortured, sexually assaulted, and sometimes killed. Adding to this problem, Pakistani policemen make up more than 60% of those who physically torment and sexually harass street children. Islamic Pakistan offers little protection to vulnerable children.
