A jury has convicted African-American Jermaine Owens, 27, on six counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and robbery of two former University of Memphis students and aggravated rape of a young woman

Owens faces at least 15 years in prison for each of the six counts - a total of 90 years - with no chance for parole. His co-defendant, James Hamilton, 19, who pleaded guilty and is serving a 35-year prison sentence with no parole, admitted that he and Owens both raped the woman, who was 21 at the time.
