Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a Hispanic who is also an illegal immigrant on rape, aggravated sodomy, and aggravated assault charges

Louis Barglas-Herrer's girlfriend tried to break up with him, when he would not let her leave the house or make phone calls. Investigators say that Barglas-Herrer raped, sodomized, and beat the woman multiple times. They say that he also held her head under water in a bath tub. Eventually, the woman was able to call police. Barglas-Herrer, 30, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Rape, False Imprisonment, Possession of a Firearm or Knife during Crime, and Aggravated Sodomy.
