A white teacher died on Christmas Day 2011 after being beaten to death by her black bodybuilder boyfriend who then sped off in his car

Prudence Hockley, 55, of Seattle, Washington, died after being beaten up outside her home by 48-year-old African-American Johnnie Lee Wiggins. They had built up a relationship over their love of fitness. She moved to the United States from New Zealand in 1978 and had a 13-year-old daughter. Wiggins was on supervised parole for crimes committed in Georgia and assaulted a corrections officer in Washington state in May 2011.
